I never know for certain what will happen when I start a painting. But chances are, some sort of landscape will resolve out of the tangles of blobs and scratches.
Will it be a landscape with… something architectural? Some avian protagonists and their daily dance with danger? Maybe you'd like a lazy subtropical blurred coastline? The ducks won't care if that rocky promontory sizzles and evaporates. Perhaps their eyes are fixed on a mountain in the night that climbs as much as it is climbed. The landscape concept is a big container to fill.
Best wishes to you as 2018 ends (a human idea that things end). And huzzzah! to a New Year that is impatiently waiting for you to greet it in this instant of time!
