There seemed to be a lot going on in 2008 --in retrospect. Of course there was much experimentation. I was creating digital versions of sketchbook doodles. Themes of birds, landscapes and seascapes simmered below the surface. There were many persistent attempts to be clever in an editorial mode. In December, I drew my first Crystal City (I'm still drawing them ten years later). I was still paddling between identities: fine artist, editorial illustrator, children's book illustrator. That gets somewhat sorted out in 2009 and 2010. I just keep working.
