2013 Calendar

This year's calendar features Owl, Tern and The Bear busy planting seeds on the shore of a rocky island.
Write to me if you'd like one. There is no cost.

  1. So lovely Rob - I was walking home (in Toronto) late one evening & looked up to see there was a baby barn owl on a branch. They're such captivating creatures and so beautiful. We stared at each other for a long time & as I left it turned it's head around to watch me leave.

    1. What a wonderful sight Shelley. I can just imagine it.
We have a few diminutive screech owls that give us a concert every once in a while in the backyard and surrounding thickets. I feel blessed when they are present.

Have you ever read "Owl Babies?"

    2. Yes, I love that book. I work in a Public Library & used to do many children's programs, that was one of them. We'd make paper owls afterward. I still read children's books even though my sons are grown. They all have such great endings, the best way to end the day.
I'm looking forward to buying your next book!

  2. I think we went through two copies of Owl Babies and bought a number as gifts. My girls are big high-schoolers now (one is applying to college!).
It's nice to know that you work in a library. The Dandelion's Tale is due out in April 2014. I'm just wading into a few others and am not sure when they will be published.
